Cole Escola: "Quick! Pretend I'm Asleep"
at Joe's Pub

After a sold out run last summer that extended into the fall, Cole is back at Joe's Pub with an all new show. Too weird for pretty much anything else, the feral writer/performer brings his unique voice to the stage where it belongs, playing multiple characters in a series of comedic vignettes that operate on the fringes of coherence and social acceptability. Hailed by critics and rejects alike, Cole's live shows are must-see downtown New York staples. Get your tickets for this one before it sells out. The show is directed by Christian Coulson.

"Cole Escola is a master of the dramatic 'ape;' the on-the-nose and seamless conjuring of characters and moments that resonate deeply and always hilariously, summoned with sly virtuosity."
